Why this guide exists

Want to be a £1m+ D2C brand? Make ads like this.

To succeed in Meta Ads, you need two things: ads with a greater diversity of formats, and ads that speak to specific audience niches about specific products.

Creating 100+ of these ads per month can be overwhelming. Unless you have a framework for creating them at scale.

That is what this guide details: 10 key ad types, why they work, and how you can make them at scale using a repeatable planning structure. They are proven winners. We use them day in, day out to scale our clients' businesses.

01

Diversity of formats

Meta doesn't want ten cuts of your best ad. It wants ten structurally different ads, so it has somewhere new to put the budget.

02

Niche-specific messaging

Ads that speak to a specific audience niche about a specific product, so the algorithm has a clear signal for who to find.

03

A repeatable structure

Persona × position × ad type. The same planning grid we use to brief 30–50 ads a month for our clients.

The ten

One niche. Ten different ads.

Each type does a different job in the feed. Together they give an ad account the creative diversity it needs to scale in 2026.

01

Show don't tell

Don't sell. Just show. Descriptions make the viewer imagine, and imagining is work. A demonstration removes the work entirely: they see the outcome and believe it in about two seconds. It works with the sound off, and it runs in every market you sell in.

Example · Kevin Junior
02

Output benefit

Show outcomes, not features or ingredients. Not the product, not the ingredient: the end result your customer actually gets. Most small brands instinctively advertise their features. Output Benefit ads lead with the life the product produces, in the first three seconds.

Example · Loop
03

Solution problem

People want solutions, not more problems. Opening on the problem asks a scrolling stranger to sit in something uncomfortable. Lead with the solved state and you earn the three seconds you need to explain what it was solving.

Example · Nueboo
04

Peer to peer

Your customers will sell your product better than you will. The same sentence is worth more from someone with nothing to gain. It sits in the feed as content rather than advertising, and different faces fronting the same script is, to both the viewer and to Meta, a genuinely different ad.

Example · Spacegoods
05

Founder story

The one ad only you can make. They can clone your demo, your offer, your comparison table. They cannot clone why you started. The founder is free talent and the story is a free script, and audiences reward the honesty a big brand can't fake.

Example · Simmer
06

Objection

Turn “but…” into “add to cart”. The objection is already in their head. Saying it out loud first moves it from their side of the argument to yours, and the proof that follows lands as evidence rather than defence.

Example · Who Gives A Crap
07

Us vs them

Everyone has competition. Show why you're better. Punch at the category default, not a named rival. You're not asking them to switch supplier; you're asking them to stop paying for something that stopped making sense.

Example · Beauty Pie
08

Offer

Add value rather than discounting the product. A discount trains people to wait for the next one. Added value raises what the thing is worth instead of lowering what it costs, and it lifts AOV rather than cutting into it.

Example · HexClad
09

Challenge value

If you're more expensive, prove it. Price is only a problem in the absence of a comparison. Say the number out loud, then stack the justification (the build, the guarantee, the thing the cheap version can't do) until the price reads as evidence of quality.

Example · Suri
10

Social proof

Let the crowd do the convincing. At the end of the consideration cycle people aren't looking for a new argument, they're looking for permission. Where Peer to Peer is one person recommending, Social Proof is the weight of the crowd.

Example · PetLab Co.
